scenes from the beach

Our trip to Rehoboth Deleware a couple weekends ago was nothing short of a dream. The weather could have been better, and there were a few things we'd do differently in the future, but it felt so good and grown up to go on a vacation without extended family. Nothing against them, but it was a nice change of pace. We rented a house with some friends of ours a short drive from the beach and I have to say I'm a fan of that set up. It was really nice having kids similar ages for coordinating naps and meals. It felt like we were on the same page the whole time and I really liked that.

After the kids were in bed, we'd stay up late talking and playing games, something my soul could use more of.  It was the perfect last hurray of summer and now I'm FINALLY feeling the fall vibes and ready to embrace the cooler weather. Hard to believe this is our last fall in Baltimore... Our time here has gone by so quickly and yet I look back and so much has happened!

If you want to see my other post from Rehoboth where we woke the kids up to watch the sunrise, click here.

And the family pictures I took for our friends the Barons can be found here.
